Southfield, MI – The W Tax Group is excited to announce that it has promoted Morry ‘Mo’ Hutton to the position of senior tax attorney. The entire team is excited to welcome Mr. Hutton to this new role and looks forward to his continued contributions to the mission of The W Tax Group.

Before joining the legal team at The W Tax Group, Mr. Hutton worked for a nationally renowned firm that specializes in defending property owners’ rights in eminent domain actions initiated by the government. Along with that experience, he brings to the table knowledge he gained while working in the judge’s chambers at the Federal District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan Theodore Levin Courthouse during law school.
Mr. Hutton entered the Michigan State University College of Law in East Lansing after graduating with honors from Michigan State University. He earned his bachelor’s degree in American economic and political history in 2013 and entered law school on a scholarship.
With five practicing attorneys as immediate family members, Mr. Hutton could easily say that a passion for the law runs in his family. He says he was inspired to pursue a legal education and career by his mother’s civil rights litigation work.
His pursuit of a legal career has led him to The W Tax Group, where he is one of the hardworking attorneys who make up the legal staff. His dedication and passion for his clients and tax resolution law have shown in his every action, which is why The W Tax Group is so excited to promote Mr. Hutton to senior tax attorney.
With tax resolution experience involving both individual taxpayers and businesses, Mr. Hutton understands that every single one of The W Tax Group’s clients has a unique story and set of legal challenges. He strives to make personal connections with these clients, and he is driven to secure successful outcomes for each of them.
